TAUNTON – Nicole M. Carpenter, 31, died in Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston Sunday, January 25, 2009. Born in Worcester, the daughter of Pattie Carpenter of Taunton and T. George Stevenson, III, of Southbridge, she was educated in Worcester grammar schools and was a 1996 graduate of Taunton High School.
A Taunton resident since 1992, she was driver for handicapped children for VHS Transportation prior to being disabled due to a heart condition. She was a member of the Baptist Church of All Nations. For four years, she was an active member of Upward Bound and volunteered at Head Start in Taunton. Nicole was CNA assisting with handicapped children. She loved music, skiing and rock climbing.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two sons, Marcus Tony Carpenter and Isiah Joseph Carpenter, both of Taunton. She was the sister of Tony George Carpenter and his wife Cheryl of Taunton, Jalaia Stevenson of Worcester and Nakisha Lee Corderre of Worcester. She was the aunt of several, including Azrielle Carpenter of Taunton and Sincere Corderre of Worcester; the niece of several, including Debbie Stevenson of Worcester; the granddaughter of Alberta William of Worcester; the companion of Richard Hurte of Brockton; and leaves other family members.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the Baptist Church of All Nations, Winthrop St., Taunton, Friday, January 30, 2009, at 5:30PM.
