1. Forgiveness: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34). I must have been a Christian for over ten years, when I finally understood the truth behind these Words. I always thought Jesus was talking about those who put Him to death on that day. But He was asking God to forgive me, long before I was ever born and granting unmerited grace for me / for us who were / are not worthy…WHAT A GOD!
Luke 23:33-35 (New International Version) The first word in context:
33 When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 35 The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, "He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One."

HOW DOES THE FIRST WORD SPEAK TO YOU?
