3. Community: "Woman, behold they son!...Behold they mother!" It’s true when they say that the congregational life avails us grand-parents, parents and siblings when our biological families are not available to meet our needs. For me, my first church family became the role-models I needed to step into a dream that I had put on hold (My education). Education was very important to my parents, but the "you must go to school" spirit really came from my pastor Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Tyler-Lloyd. He never said this to me directly, but God placed me within a community that set a standard that motivated my desires.
