Earl M. Yates

 

Earl M. Yates, 91 years old, died in the Taunton Nursing Home, on August 31, 2011.  Born in Taunton son of the late Ray and Bertha (Williams) Yates.  Earl was a retired farm worker, having been employed by the former Soper Dairy and Mazzone Poultry farm. He was an avid  Red Sox fan, well liked and made many friends.  He enjoyed all sports and traveling.  He formerly attended the Baptist Church of All Nations. He was the brother of the late Howard Yates and Thelma O’Neil.  He is survived by several nieces and nephews in California, Oregon and Arizona.  Cremation services were held and his cremains were interred in his family lot in Pine Hill Cemetery, East Taunton.  Arrangements were by the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. Taunton, MA.  To light a candle or for access to the memorial register go to www.hathawayfunerals.com.
