Our March 10, 2007 Women's Fellowship Breakfast which was themed "Pampered Princess" was a great success!  We enjoyed our woman time by giving ourselves a Lavender & Spearmint oil scented manicure, picking which color would look best on our lovely nails from a great selection and then learning about excellent hand care from a Mary Kay professional consultant and former BCAN member, Ms. Janice Thompson.  Thanks Janice for all of your helpful hand care tips and for your information on the Mary Kay business.

So we generally focused on our Hands!

Sis. Michelle F. made an EXCELLENT quiche!  She provided us with the recipe below!  Thanks Michelle for all of your hard work (even during your "stove" issues)!

QUICHE RECIPE

Ingredients:  3 Eggs, Heavy Cream, Bag of Spinach, Bacon, Onion, Ready Pie Crust, 1/2-1 cup of Swiss Cheese

Put ready crust in oven and brown as directed on the package
Fry 6-8 slices of bacon (crisp enough to break)
Saute 1 medium onion in oil and butter and add washed spinach until wilted
Prepare Custard - mix 3 eggs in a lg measuring cup adn add heavy cream until it reaches 1 1/2 cups full, season with salt (a little less than 1/2 tsp) and pepper.
Put 1/2 of the cheese in crust, then mix spinach and bacon into the custard and pour into crust, then Add remaining cheese
Bake at 375* for 35 minutes until puffy and light brown

This basic Custard can also be used with any other ingredients!  ENJOY!!
